Pack an easy meal, find a good sunset spot, put the phones away, and stay through golden hour together.

Choose a sunset-friendly location with a clear western view and arrive about 30–45 minutes before sunset. Pack food that can be served cold or at room temperature so setup stays easy. Spread out the blanket, eat slowly, and keep phones away except for navigation, music, or a few photos. Stay after the sun drops for another 20–30 minutes instead of packing up immediately; use that quieter time to talk and enjoy the changing sky. Have a simple indoor backup spot in mind if the weather turns.
